With 2023 drawing to a close, we’ve taken time to reflect on what has been a very busy but rewarding year for our clients and The Association Management Company.
At the start of the year we took the opportunity to review our company values, which determine the way we serve our clients every day.
One of our values is being ‘versatile’, a skill we had to deploy when helping one of our clients deliver a new e-learning course. In fact, the project required a number of skills as The AMC were tasked with project managing the process alongside industry experts and online training specialists.
The AMC’s ultimate guide to identifying and appointing an association management company was updated in March. Packed with useful tips, the guide details what to look for in an association management company, how fees are calculated, how to develop an effective request for proposal (RFP) and much more. Talking of appointments, we were delighted to start working with two well-established trade associations this summer. Both operate in industries which are new to us so we’ve enjoyed the challenge of learning new sectors, processes and members.
Meanwhile, the summer saw the delivery of one of our biggest events of the year – an academic conference in Brighton with over 300 delegates. Click here to see some of the numbers from the conference.
As the summer drew to a close, we took the opportunity to bring our team together and put our creative skills to the test. Tasked with painting an image of an owl, we were guided through the process from start to finish.
Some were more successful in accurately recreating the bird than others, but it was a fantastic opportunity to catch up with each other.
September saw the delivery of another successful event. This time an awards evening for almost 200 people in Cambridge which saw eight prestigious awards presented to businesses and individuals in the agriculture and industrial building industry.
November saw the promotion of The AMC’s Katie Trace to account manager. In such a short space of time, Katie has made a really positive impact and we look forward to seeing her continue to prosper in the role in the new year.
Our last event of the year was a 400-person carol service in Piccadilly for one of our London-based clients. Not the usual type of event we tend to organise, but one which rounds off the year nicely and got us into the festive spirit.
As ever, we would like to thank our clients, suppliers and partners for their continuing support and wish everyone a great 2024.
The AMC office will be closed from midday on Thursday, December 21 and will reopen on January 2, 2024.
