We’re proud to announce that we’ve achieved Cyber Essentials Plus certification, building on our Cyber Essentials accreditation last year.
This is an independently tested technical audit where security controls are actively tested. This includes vulnerability scans of systems, checks on how devices are configured, and controlled tests to confirm that security measures, such as access restrictions and malware protections, are working as intended in real-world scenarios.
While gaining Cyber Essentials was an important milestone, progressing to Cyber Essentials Plus has always been part of our longer-term ambition to strengthen our approach to cyber security.
As a business that manages the operations of a wide range of associations, membership organisations and charities, we recognise the responsibility we hold when it comes to protecting data and maintaining robust systems.
This is particularly important given the nature of our work. We operate in a collaborative, often remote environment, where data is accessed and shared across teams and systems.
While this enables efficiency and flexibility, it also increases the importance of strong, consistent security practices to ensure information remains protected at all times.
Katie Trace, who guided us through the process, said: “It’s been great to lead our journey to Cyber Essentials Plus.
“Achieving Cyber Essentials Plus marks another step forward for The AMC as we continue to invest in our systems, security and processes to better support our clients.”
Ultimately, strong data security enables us to operate effectively and confidently in a digital-first environment, ensuring that the organisations we support can focus on their plans while we safeguard the information entrusted to us.
