The Association Management Company become new Secretariat service provider

The Association Management Company are pleased to have been appointed as the new Secretariat service provider for The British Energy Efficiency Federation (BEEF).

BEEF was set up in 1996 by the then Environment Minister, John Gummer (now Lord Deben). Its objectives today remain similar to and compatible with those originally agreed:

To drive and support the delivery of the Government’s climate change, low carbon and energy policy objectives, by:

• examining policy for practicability at an early stage (before consultation)
• ensuring necessary job creation based on increased energy efficiency activity
• giving the energy efficiency industry confidence to invest in capacity and skills
• briefing Government on the capability of industry to deliver carbon abatement
• enabling early and productive liaison between Government and the energy efficiency industry
• providing an effective conduit through which industry’s ideas for energy efficiency initiatives can be fed through to Government
• providing a unique cross-sectoral forum for effective, efficient decision-making

BEEF is supported by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) with civil servants, MPs, peers and invited guests from various ministries and departments attending the regular meetings.
